We believe in the power of women, and our projects and initiatives are designed to empower, inspire and connect women to enable them to be liberal and independent decision-makers.

Health and nutrition

Tata Global Beverages believes in World Health Organization’s (WHO) commitment that the right to health is a fundamental part of our human rights and of our understanding of a life of dignity. Health (both preventive and curative) is an area that clearly stands out as the most critical aspect for our community intervention.

Education and skill development

Education: Tata Global Beverages Limited endorses the United Nations Millennium Development Goal to achieve universal primary education. We understand that education — one of the key indicators of social progress — plays a key role in creating a self-sustainable and equitable society.

Skill development: Tata Global Beverages Limited believes that every person should be provided the opportunity to get skilled in a vocation of his / her choice, subject to their eligibility for the same. Tata Global Beverages Limited recognises skill criteria to include education, prior knowledge, aptitude, experience, practice, tradition, or family occupation.

Affirmative Action Policy

Tata Global Beverages Limited recognises that helping build communities is a valued and cherished element of every Tata Company operation and seeks to organise, develop, manage, fund and leverage community activity across the Group. Tata Group has a clear focus and strategic approach towards driving Affirmative Action (AA) in India. This means that the organisation is committed to directly conducting and supporting initiatives for socially and economically disadvantaged sections in the country at large, and, in particular, the AA initiatives are specifically focussed on the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe (SC and ST) communities in India. The Tata Affirmative Action Programme has defined the criteria, and the processes are driven through 4Es: Employment, Employability, Entrepreneurship, and Education.

Tata Global Beverages Limited commits to exercising positive discrimination in employing personnel from historically disadvantaged communities and engaging them as business partners, without sacrificing merit or quality, adhering in letter, spirit and actions to the Tata Affirmative Action Programme.

The Tata AA Policy entails

  • Believing in social equity.
  • Adhering to the principle of equal opportunity, irrespective of caste, whether in recruitment or career advancement within the organisation.
  • Committing to directly conducting or supporting initiatives to ensure an equal footing for socially and economically disadvantaged sections in the country, at large, and, specifically, the SC and ST communities.
  • Towards the ultimate goal of enhancing their employability and entrepreneurship abilities, committing to creating and promoting access to quality education and technical skills and competencies for members of the SC and ST communities.
  • Further, to speedily enable these communities to overcome the social discrimination that has prevented them from realising their potential as productive members of the society, assisting members from these communities towards employment opportunities and as business associates, provided everything else (merit for employment, cost and quality for business associates) is equal.

Our volunteering philosophy

The philosophy of giving back to society is an integral part of the Tata Group ethos. By encouraging and enabling employee volunteering, Tata Companies bring together good people and good causes and help make a difference to the lives of many.

Volunteering enables us on one hand to go beyond the quest for doing things only for ourselves, and, on the other, is what prompts from within the need for self-action and initiative in the spirit of service to humanity. In a world where human sustenance relies heavily on responsible acts of goodness, there’s always a need for individuals to step-up and make a difference. Tata Engage is a volunteering platform that enables Tata employees to extend their deeds of goodness to the society and the world.

Organised by Tata Sustainability Group, this group-wide initiative enables volunteers to gain new perspectives on community development, while giving companies the opportunity to study and adopt practices that have a positive impact on earth. Through active participation in this programme, Tata Global Beverages aims to foster a culture of affiliation that creates bonding and trust among employees.
